I am Dr. Amina Yusuf Jega, a Pharmaceutical and Medicinal Chemist with over a decade of experience in natural product drug discovery, specializing in the isolation, characterization, and in silico evaluation of bioactive compounds from African medicinal plants. I hold a PhD in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and am currently a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Morgan State University, USA, where my research focuses on the identification and development of plant-based anticancer agents. My technical expertise spans a wide range of analytical and computational techniques, including GC-MS, NMR, FTIR, HPLC, column chromatography, molecular docking, ADME-Tox prediction, and molecular dynamics simulations. I have led and collaborated on several multidisciplinary projects targeting malaria, cancer, snakebite envenomation, and metabolic diseases, combining traditional knowledge with modern pharmaceutical tools. I am the recipient of several national and international research grants and fellowships, including the prestigious TETFund National Research Grant, and have over 80 peer-reviewed publications to my credit. My skills also include scientific manuscript writing, peer-review, grant proposal development, and postgraduate mentoring. I serve as a reviewer for multiple high-impact journals and am actively engaged in academic collaborations and mentoring.
