I am a bioinformatician with a B.S. in Molecular Biology and an M.S. in Bioinformatics, experienced in analyzing high-throughput sequencing data and building reproducible workflows in R and Python. My expertise spans genomics, microbiome studies, immunology-related data analysis, and computational modeling, with projects that include: Microbiome Analysis: 16S rRNA sequencing workflows (DADA2, Phyloseq, DECIPHER), alpha/beta diversity testing, and comparisons of taxonomic classifiers (Naive Bayesian Classifier vs. IDTAXA). Genomics & Fine Mapping: Benchmarking fine-mapping tools (SuSiE, FINEMAP, CAVIAR) to identify causal variants in disease-associated regions, including immunogenomics contexts. Microbial Genomics: Genome assembly, annotation, and pathway analysis of bacteria with potential plastic-degradation functions, using tools such as Prokka and pangenomic frameworks. NGS Pipelines: Sequence alignment, variant calling, association studies, and statistical analysis with R packages (DESeq2, susieR) and Python libraries (Biopython, Pandas, scikit-bio). Previously, I worked for two years as a Research Fermentation Associate at LanzaTech Inc., where I managed bioreactors and fermentation experiments and took ownership of the analytics pipeline for collected samples. This industrial biotech experience gave me a strong foundation in experimental design, data quality management, and scaling technologies from lab to pilot scale. In addition, as part of Hyphae Composites, I have been developing a computational software platform that models polymer–additive interactions. The system integrates molecular simulation, reaction pattern logic, and machine learning to recommend additive formulations that can repair polymer chains during reprocessing. This work combines my background in bioinformatics-style data analysis with materials informatics, bridging biology, chemistry, and engineering in a novel way. I bring strong skills in data analysis, visualization, and communication — translating complex datasets into clear, publication-ready reports and actionable insights. I am detail-oriented, collaborative, and comfortable working with academic groups, startups, and industry partners on both short-term analyses and longer research projects.
