Preclinal PET scientist with a strong focus on neuroscience

プロフィール概要

A final year PhD student in preclinical development of Positron Emission Tomography (PET) radiotracers. My current project mainly focuses on a novel PET probe for neuroinflammation, which would benefit diagnosis of neuroinflammation-related diseases as well as enable functional monitoring of treatment efficacy. This project has equiped myself with a unique, yet transferable skill set, including practical procedures such as automated production of fluorine-18-labelled PET radiotracers, HPLC, PET image aqcuisition and analysis, autoradiography and immunohistochemistry. In addition, I am a competent user of Microsoft Office package, statistical analysis software GraphPad Prism, and image analysis sofwares such as ImageJ and PMOD. The results of my work have been presented in a number of UK-based and worldwide conferences as well as published in peer-reviewed scientific journals. Having worked as a research technician in the past, I also have experience in effectively supporting a variety of differerent projects simulteneously and providing training to students and new employees of the team.
