I am a final year PhD student in Agriculture at The University of Western Australia (UWA). I am currently working on the project, "Unravelling heat stress tolerance in bread wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) using physiology and proteomics approaches." I have worked in research positions focusing on various fields of life sciences and plant biology. For example, wheat and barley molecular breeding, and quality control, Brassica wide hybrid rescue using tissue culture, rice abiotic stress response, root-knot nematodes research in tomato, neuromuscular diseases-clinical genetics research, carbon foot printing under microbiological treatments of soil, and field data collection of genotypic variations in wheat physiology at different geographical locations using hyper spectroscopy and gas exchange measurements. I also give casual multidisciplinary laboratory demonstrations to school kids, and UWA graduate and postgraduate students.
