I have a Ph.D. in Biochemistry with over 10 years of experience in mitochondria research. My laboratory work mostly focuses on the mechanism of chemopreventive, remediation, and chemosupressive potentials of naturally occurring substances in infectious diseases and diseases caused by free radicals and oxidative stress. Moreover, my research interest focuses on bioactive agents/naturally occurring substances that have the potential to induce or inhibit mitochondrial membrane permeability transition pore opening and its application in drug development useful in situations of dysregulated apoptosis such as cancer and tissue wastage. I have experience in: - Writing and reviewing scientific articles (abstracts and full manuscripts), - Statistical analysis of data, - Scientific illustration (preparation of professional figures), and - Data presentation.
