I am a mechanical engineer with a PhD in composite structures and over 10 years of experience spanning academic research, industrial manufacturing, and engineering consultancy. My work focuses on one goal: helping companies develop composite and structural products that are validated by simulation before they are built. What I do: Composite materials design — material selection (CFRP, GFRP, thermoplastics such as PEEK/carbon), laminate definition, ply-by-ply optimisation, and design for manufacturability across processes (prepreg, infusion, RTM, additive manufacturing) Structural simulation (FEA) — linear and nonlinear analysis, buckling, modal and vibration qualification, thermal-structural coupling, fatigue and creep assessment, using Abaqus, SimSolid and SimScale Parametric CAD — CATIA V5/V6 and SolidWorks, including fully parametric models ready for design iteration Automation — Python scripting for large parametric studies (hundreds of simulations), automated post-processing and reporting My background: I completed my PhD on the compressive behaviour of composite structures in collaboration with CNRS, then served as Technical Manager in a composites manufacturing company before becoming an independent consultant. I have delivered projects for major aerospace and defence organisations as well as startups and SMEs — from launcher structures and drone frames to heat exchangers, battery packs and sporting goods. How I work: Every project ends with a clear, well-documented deliverable: validated models, quantified margins, and a presentation or report you can share directly with your stakeholders. I am rigorous on assumptions, transparent on limitations, and responsive throughout. Based in France, working in English and French with clients worldwide.
