I jumped into the world of genome editing and CRISPR/Cas9 during my PhD when I was working on the role of MICRORNA in fish reproduction, to investiagte the role of some interesting candidates, I generated my first Knock-Out fish model using CRISPR and then I decided to focus my career on gene editing. I joined the University of Oxford as a postdoctoral researcher in gene editing technologies. I gained an extensive expertise in gene editing on mouse model, mouse embryonic stem cells, human induced pluripotent cells and organoids. Today, my main interest is to help to drive the gene editing into the clinics and develop innovative therapies.
