My career experience and skills have grown out of my childhood interests. I used to spend countless hours solving puzzles and creating inventions. This love for a challenge and an inner need to find the solution, led me to explore math and science. I have spent the majority of my life chasing this passion which has given me a diverse, and extensive, educational background. My current role as a consultant for Pearson Education blends my love of fast paced projects, upper level mathematics, and technology development. I also serve at the local police department's anti-trafficking unit. In this role, I am able to apply my background in cyberspace engineering to a complex problem in society and truly engage in the community around me. In graduate school, my research was funded by the US Air Force for development on composite, flexible wing aerial vehicles. It was motivated by developments in both research and industry to advance understanding of naturally inspired unmanned aerial vehicles. I gained vast experience with Matlab: included running simulations and numerical analysis in the program. Included work with 4th order partial differentials, Galerkin finite element method, integrating system controls, and developing code to model vibrational response data. Conducted structural, mechanical and vibrational analysis for experimental cantilevered beam vibration data in order to compare the performance of different damping models. I was also responsible for all experimental research in aerial vehicle lab, communicating with both advisor and students on progress and timelines, and preparing for and presenting numerous conference presentations. With my diverse background, I have accumulated a unique set of skills -- programming, presenting, writing, applied mathematics, and so on -- giving me the ability to adapt to and excel in multi-disciplinary projects and complex challenges. When I'm not working, I enjoy skiing, reading, playing board games, and am currently training for an Ironman. I love networking and meeting equally ambitious individuals so feel free to reach out to talk technology, mathematics, fitness, anti-trafficking measures, or anything else.
