Hi! I'm Aster Santana. Need help with optimization problems? I can probably help you! I'm passionate about teaching and solving challenging real-world problems using mathematical optimization and other analytics technologies. After obtaining a Ph.D. in Operations Research from Georgia Tech and having worked in the industry (consulting and software) from 2019 to 2021, I'm now working on personal projects and looking for new side projects. While at Georgia Tech, I was multiple times an instructor of the Engineering Optimization course and got elected the best instructor of the department in 2018. Over the past 10+ years, I've solved many practical problems, such as sports scheduling, transportation problems, inventory optimization, production planning. I have a lot of experience with mathematical formulation and modeling. Finally, I code in Python almost every day, and I'm particularly experienced with its interface with optimization solvers such as Gurobi, CPLEX, SCIP, and CBC-PuLP.
