I am a professional chemist with a specialized focus on multistep organic synthesis, catalysis, and process development. My academic foundation includes a Master of Science in Chemistry from the Central University of Jharkhand and a Bachelor of Science from Maharaja Purna Chandra Autonomous College. Currently, I serve as a Project Associate at the CSIR-National Chemical Laboratory (NCL) in Pune, where I focus on route scouting and process optimization for commodity and agrochemical intermediates. Core Expertise & Research Experience My research interests lie at the intersection of sustainable synthetic methodologies and medicinal chemistry. I have extensive experience in: Transition Metal Catalysis: Designing and optimizing C-C and C-heteroatom bond formation reactions using transition metal clusters and organometallic complexes. Green Chemistry: Developing sustainable synthetic routes, including the use of visible-light photoredox catalysis and solvent-free methodologies. Bioactive Scaffolds: Designing and synthesizing structurally diverse molecules with pharmaceutical and biosensing relevance. Key Projects Process Optimization (Ongoing): Leading route scouting initiatives at CSIR-NCL to enhance the efficiency and yield of industrial chemical intermediates. Visible-Light Photocatalysis: Developing a research proposal for visible-light-mediated copper photocatalysis to enable more energy-efficient organic transformations. Master’s Thesis: Investigated the "Water Extract of Red Mud" as a sustainable and efficient medium for the preparation of isoxazoles, focusing on environmentally benign catalysts. Sustainable Synthesis: Engineered a methodology for the synthesis of nitrated azaspiro[4.5]trienones. Technical Skills & Proficiencies Instrumentation: Proficiency in NMR, IR, and mass spectrometry for structural characterization, along with various chromatography techniques for purification. Project Management: Proven ability to manage complex, multistep synthetic projects from initial route design to final optimization. Soft Skills: Strong communication skills in English, Hindi, and Odia, facilitating collaborative research in diverse laboratory environments. I am currently pursuing advanced research opportunities, specifically focusing on PhD programs that allow for the integration of sustainable catalysis with complex molecule synthesis.
