I define how human-generated data should be interpreted, structured, and used within AI and ML systems. My background is in cognitive science (doctoral research in Brain, Mind & Computer Science, University of Padova / University of Edinburgh), with a decade of applied work across health-tech, coaching analytics, emotion recognition, VR/AR, and luxury retail. I specialise in the layer between the science and the engineering: which physiological, behavioural, emotional, or speech signals carry meaning, how they should be weighted, what rules should govern the algorithm, and what decisions or content the system should surface. Most recently I led the science and AI function at Stardust (period tracking app), where I defined the methodology behind ovulation prediction analytics — which hormone and cycle data points to use, how to weight them, and what thresholds trigger personalised content for millions of users. Before that I co-founded Humaine AI, leading research across emotion recognition, speech analysis, and automated personalised user journeys derived from behavioural profiling.
