Bernadette Sunjka was a Senior Lecturer in the School of Mechanical, Industrial and Aeronautical Engineering at the University of the Witwatersrand. She holds a PhD degree in Industrial Engineering in the field of Supply Chain Risk Management. Her two masters degrees are in Industrial Engineering (MSc Eng from the University of the Witwatersrand) and Applied Ethics (MPhil from St Augustine College). She has a BSc Eng degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal. Bernadette is a Professional Engineer (PrEng) and a Professional Project Manager (PMP). She is a member of the South African Institute of Industrial Engineering (SAIIE) and member of the Project Management Institute (PMI). She has worked in banking and at Eskom. Her research interests include supply chain risk management, small and medium enterprises, quality management, project management and system engineering. She has published 8 Journal and 30 Conference papers, and has 342 Google Scholar citations. She has completed 2 contract research projects for the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) (2023, 2024). *Please note that I have a mobility disability, and cannot do onsite work
