I am a CFD and simulation specialist with a PhD in Engineering and industrial experience spanning engineering consultancy, product development and applied sciences. My expertise lies in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), multiphase-flow modelling, population balance modelling, numerical methods and engineering simulation. Over the last decade I have applied modelling and simulation techniques to solve complex engineering problems involving fluid flow, particle transport, mixing, heat and mass transfer, and reactive multiphase systems. My doctoral research focused on the computational modelling of struvite precipitation and phosphorus recovery processes using coupled CFD and Population Balance Modelling (PBM) approaches. This work involved the development and validation of numerical models to investigate the interaction between fluid dynamics, supersaturation, nucleation, crystal growth and particle transport within wastewater treatment systems. Professionally, I have worked across academia, product development and engineering consultancy. My experience includes product innovation and R&D at Hydro International, nearly three years as a Senior CFD Modeller at Jacobs, and applied-sciences consultancy work involving medical devices, particle/fluid systems, high-concentration suspensions, CFD-coupled particle modelling and simulation-driven engineering analysis. I am experienced in OpenFOAM, STAR-CCM+, Ansys CFX, Python and scientific computing workflows, and have worked extensively with model development, verification, validation, data analysis and technical reporting. I have supported multidisciplinary project teams, delivered simulation-led engineering insight to stakeholders and contributed to research, development and innovation activities across a range of sectors. I am particularly interested in CFD, scientific computing, multiphase systems, simulation automation, digital engineering, process modelling and the application of data-driven methods to complex engineering problems.
