Dr. Sandjong is a highly experienced and certified microbiologist with a robust background in laboratory management and public health microbiology. With an extensive career spanning over 15 years, Dr. Sandjong has held leadership roles in various esteemed organizations, demonstrating exceptional expertise in microbiology and laboratory operations. From December 2018 to January 2023, Dr. Sandjong was the Consultant and Laboratory Director at Microit Diagnostics Inc, managing a medical analysis laboratory and consulting firm in Lubbock, Texas. In 2021, Dr. Sandjong provided expert consultancy as a Clinical Laboratory Consultant for Eagle Global Scientific, supporting U.S. Army Laboratories in Japan and South Korea. Prior to this, Dr. Sandjong was the Division Chief & Laboratory Director at the Westchester County Department of Laboratories and Research, and the Public Health Laboratory Director at San Bernardino County Public Health Department. Dr. Sandjong has also accumulated valuable experience as a CLIA Technical Supervisor & Senior Public Health Microbiologist at the Monterey County Health Department, and as a Public Health Microbiologist at the same institution. Earlier in his career, Dr. Sandjong worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at various prestigious institutions, including the University of California Davis, the University of Prince Edward Island, and Université Laval. Education: Dr. Sandjong holds a Ph.D. in Microbiology and Genetics from the University of Vienna, Austria (2006). He furthered his expertise with a Graduate Certificate in Bioinformatics from the University of Maryland University College (2013). Additionally, Dr. Sandjong earned a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from the Technical University of Munich, Germany (2003 and 2000, respectively).
