I am an Associate Professor of Health Economics at one of the top universities in Poland. I am also a member of the Scientific Council at INNOWO Institute, an NGO think-tank based in Warsaw. I have published several original research papers in top health economics and public health journals, being the only or first author of most of these. My scientific interests focus on productivity losses and cost-of-illness studies; previously, I researched gender bias in health care, correlates of hospital readmissions and cognitive impairment, among others. I have also co-authored around ten technical reports on the health system in Poland. I have extensive editorial experience serving as an Associate Editor for BMC Health Services Research ('Healthcare financing and economics' section). I have also reviewed >90 manuscripts for top health journals, including International Journal of Cancer, Journal of Clinical Psychiatry, Acta Psychiatrica Scandinavica, PLOS One, BMJ Open, Value in Health, International Journal for Equity in Health, and many others.
