Blerina Spahiu graduated at the Polytechnic University of Tirana, as Electronic Engineer, with Bachelor of Science degree, on September 2008. After it, she followed Master of Science as Electronic Engineer in the same university, and graduated on July 2012. During her master studies she worked for the National Institute of Statistics as a Information Technology Specialist until February 2014. In 2012 she started to work as an external professor in two Universities in Albania, University of Tirana, where she taught “Theory of Research” and at the University of Durres where she taught “Information System Development” and "Computer Applications". In January 2014 she joined the Department of Computer Science at the University of Milan – Bicocca where she completed her PhD titled "Profiling Linked Data". During her Phd studies she has been involved in the European Project "Components Supporting the Open Data Exploitation". During 2016 she supervised the laboratories of Programming in Java. She is interested in Data Profiling, Data quality, Big Data Analytics and Semantic Web Technologies.
