I am a Ph.D. molecular biologist and scientific consultant with nearly two decades of experience supporting biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and contract research organizations through assay development, validation, laboratory operations, and technical problem solving. My professional experience spans academic research, biotechnology startups, global pharmaceutical companies, and CROs including BioAgilytix, IQVIA Laboratories, BASF, Chaperone Therapeutics, the University of Michigan, and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I specialize in developing, optimizing, validating, and applying molecular biology assays within regulated laboratory environments. My experience includes quantitative PCR (qPCR), droplet digital PCR (ddPCR), nucleic acid extraction and quantification, bioanalytical method development and validation, sample analysis, laboratory automation, equipment qualification and validation (IQ/OQ/PQ), and preparation of scientific and regulatory documentation. I have served as the scientific lead for client-facing assay development projects supporting cell and gene therapy programs, including CAR-T, CAR-NK, AAV, lentiviral, and lipid nanoparticle (LNP) therapeutic platforms. My work has involved close collaboration with sponsors to design experiments, interpret data, refine assay performance, and successfully transfer validated methods into regulated sample analysis. Beyond laboratory science, I have substantial experience in laboratory process improvement, technical writing, SOP development, scientific presentations, project management, and mentoring laboratory personnel. I enjoy helping organizations solve technically challenging problems while maintaining rigorous scientific and quality standards.
