Environmental Sciences graduate (Autonomous University of Madrid, 2021) with master’s degrees in Ecology (2023, GPA 8.45) and Marine Biology (2023, GPA 9.0). I specialize in microbial ecology and bioinformatics, with strong expertise in R and Python for data processing, statistical analysis, and multi-omics integration. My research began within the “Photosynthetic Microorganisms: Ecophysiology and Environmental Biotechnology” group, where I studied trophic structure and carbon transfer in Arctic microbial mats (grade 9.5), work now being prepared for publication in Frontiers in Microbiology. I have professional experience in environmental sampling, invasive species monitoring, and diatom taxonomy from my time at Eurofins Cimera Estudios Aplicados S.L. Currently, I am part of the MERIDIAN project at the Autonomous University of Madrid, using computational approaches to understand seasonal functional shifts in Antarctic microbial communities. Alongside my PhD in Microbiology, I serve as Vice President of APECS Spain and contribute to European research initiatives such as COLDwater and TED2021-132147B-100 on digital microscopy and phytoplankton detection.
