I am currently doing research for my PhD in Civil Engineering at University of South Florida. During my Civil Engineering undergraduate degree, I worked as a Research Assistant for 3 years in two different universities: University of South Florida and Universidad del Norte, Colombia. In addition, I have participated in many different research projects related to Structural Engineering, Materials Engineering and Environmental Engineering. As a Research Assistant at Universidad del Norte, Colombia, I worked on the project "Developing structural health monitoring techniques using smartphones and Bayesian analysis: a serviceability assessment to human-induced vibrations". My team and I are currently working on a paper publication for this study. At University of South Florida, I have performed as a Research Assistant at the USF Corrosion Engineering Laboratory. I have researched on materials durability by focusing on solving corrosion problems in reinforced concrete members. Also, I have conducted a set of electrical and chemical experiments to determine the reinforced concrete behavior when exposed to corrosive environments.
