Dr. Catherine E Igben, is a Public Health Consultant, Reproductive Health Researcher, Global Health Educator, and Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES®) with extensive experience advancing women’s health, fertility awareness, and global health education across East Africa. She holds a PhD in Public Health and a Master of Education in Health Education, complemented by professional certifications in Transforming Your Leadership & Management Skills (TLMS) and Project Management in Global Health (PMIGH) from the University of Washington. Her research on the Symptothermal Method (STM) and her Peer Educator Training under the NYSC Reproductive Health and HIV/AIDS Prevention Project (supported by UNICEF) have strengthened community health education and reproductive autonomy for women and couples. Catherine has trained community health workers, facilitated women’s health workshops, and developed culturally responsive fertility awareness tools used across the region. Her work bridges science, culture, and community engagement to create accessible, empowering reproductive health solutions. She offers consulting services in; Research Consulting: Expert guidance on study design, data collection, literature review, data analysis & interpretation, and evidence-based recommendations in public health, reproductive health, fertility awareness, and global health systems. Helping researchers and organizations translate evidence into impactful interventions. Health Education Content Development: Creation of culturally responsive health education materials, training modules, curricula, and reproductive health materials for women’s health, HIV/AIDS prevention, and community health programs. Academic Manuscript Review & Scientific Editing: Professional review & editing, polishing, journal formatting, clarity improvement, and scientific accuracy checks of research manuscripts, proposals, and journal submissions in public health, reproductive health, and global health education. Program Planning & Evaluation: Design, implement, and evaluate reproductive health and HIV/AIDS prevention programs using evidence-based frameworks and participatory approaches such as Logic models, M&E frameworks, program planning, and outcome evaluation. Global Health Project Management: Coordination and management of global health projects focused on women’s empowerment, reproductive health, and cross-cultural collaboration. Peer Education & Leadership Training: Facilitation of workshops and training sessions for health educators, community health workers, peer educators and women’s health groups, strengthening leadership and community engagement. Natural Family Planning & Fertility Awareness: Education and consultation on the Symptothermal Method (STM) and natural family planning, empowering women and couples through body literacy and shared decision making. Dr. Catherine collaborates with global health professionals, NGOs, and academic institutions to design and evaluate programs that improve health outcomes for women and families. She is passionate about using education, leadership, and research to transform reproductive health systems and promote sustainable development.
