My background is mostly in chemistry, biochemistry, and molecular biology. Wet lab projects include experiments such as polymer synthesis, x-ray crystallography, and binding assays. My main focus now though is computational work. One project used machine learning for drug design. My biggest project included getting data from multiple databases, ensuring quality, and organizing into a cohesive system for analysis and visualization. I built a suite of tools both in MATLAB and as webapps to aid in studying the ribosome, and applying such knowledge towards the origin of life. Then I worked doing NLP at a large company.
