I am a pharmacist (Swiss state diploma) with a PhD in microbiology. During my postdoctoral research in Australia, I gained expertise in bacterial pathogens and specialised in antibiotic resistance.  My research skills encompass molecular epidemiology, mass spectrometry-based analyses, and clinical microbiology. I have co-authored 18 peer-reviewed publications that have received more than 500 citations in total. Furthermore, I have served as guest editor for the journal Antibiotics, completed approximately 60 peer reviews, and secured competitive grants from the Swiss National Science Foundation. With hands-on experience as a pharmacist in both German- and French-speaking regions of Switzerland and as a ship pharmacist with Mercy Ships in West Africa, I bring clinical, research, and international perspectives to scientific communication.

I recently founded Preston Scientific Writing, which offers scientific writing support and substantive editing for research manuscripts in my areas of expertise. I partner with researchers to enhance the clarity, logical flow, scientific rigour, and overall impact of their work while minimising the risk of AI-generated text detection. These improvements lead to higher acceptance rates and greater citability in top-tier journals.
