I am a PhD-trained molecular biologist with over 6+ years of hands-on experience in functional genomics, genome-wide CRISPR screening, and experimental validation in mammalian systems. My work focuses on using large-scale perturbation approaches to understand gene function and translate screening results into robust, interpretable biological insights. During my doctoral training, I led long-term projects involving genome-wide CRISPR and shRNA screens, RNA-seq analysis, and integration of molecular and phenotypic readouts. I have deep practical experience designing perturbation strategies, evaluating sgRNA performance, and building validation pipelines using qRT-PCR, western blotting, immunofluorescence, and multichannel flow cytometry. I have worked extensively with cell-based systems, including bacterial transformation, mammalian cell transfection and viral transduction, and gene-editing workflows. I emphasize experimental controls, reproducibility, and efficient study design, with particular attention to identifying common failure modes in high-throughput experiments. I support biotech companies and funded academic labs through experimental design review, troubleshooting inconsistent or noisy datasets, and technical evaluation of research plans, grant methods, and scientific manuscripts.
