I am a passionate biotechnology researcher with first-class honors from the University of Colombo, specializing in natural product research, microbiology, and sustainable dye development. With hands-on experience in isolating and characterizing marine pigmented bacteria and fungal dyes, my work explores innovative applications such as natural UV filters, antioxidants, and eco-friendly pigments for textile and biomedical industries. I have authored a published book chapter on fungal dyes and am actively contributing to research on marine algal biodiversity, bacterial pigment applications, and sustainable bio-based solutions. I bring a strong scientific background combined with creative problem-solving, scientific writing, and a commitment to the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
