I’m an applied mathematician with a PhD in numerical relativity and over a decade of experience solving complex physical and mathematical problems using high-performance computing and custom-built simulation tools. My core expertise lies in the numerical solution of partial differential equations (PDEs), scientific computing, and advanced mathematical modelling. I currently hold a permanent academic position as a Senior Lecturer at the University of Canterbury, where I teach applied mathematics and lead research in numerical relativity—particularly the simulation of black hole systems, gravitational waves, and conformal field equations. I have developed and contributed to high-performance simulation codes in C, C++, Python, and MPI, and have experience with frameworks like OpenFOAM and the Einstein Toolkit. I am the Principal Investigator on a Royal Society Marsden Fast-Start project, leading cutting-edge research into gravitational wave scattering. I have published widely in top journals, presented at international conferences, and successfully supervised numerous postgraduate students. Beyond academia, I have experience translating research code into efficient C for statistical modelling applications and am now looking to apply my skills in broader contexts. I bring a rigorous, analytical mindset, a deep understanding of physical systems, and a strong coding background to every project. I’m particularly interested in industry problems involving simulation, data analysis, algorithm development, and system modelling—especially where performance, reliability, and physical accuracy matter.
