I hold an MSc degree in Molecular Biology and Genetics from Middle East Technical University (METU), where my thesis focused on CRISPR/Cas9-mediated genome editing in soybean to improve nutritional quality. My academic background and lab experience span plant molecular biology, gene editing, and tissue culture techniques. I have been actively involved in several TÜBİTAK-funded research projects both in plant and animal biotechnology. These include: • Development of soybean lines with low phytate and high iron content using CRISPR/Cas9. • Antimicrobial protein production in Nicotiana benthamiana through transient transformation. • Investigation of acetylcholinesterase inhibitors in rodent models of cerebral palsy and colitis. My technical skill set includes: - Molecular cloning - Agrobacterium-mediated transformation - Plant tissue culture and regeneration - DNA/RNA extraction, PCR, T7E1 mutation assays - Western blot, SDS-PAGE, Bradford assay - Literature search and scientific writing In addition to my lab work, I have been responsible for training interns, organizing lab workflow, and coordinating experimental procedures. I am proficient in scientific communication and experienced in writing and editing academic manuscripts, project reports, and presentations.
