Ever since I was a kid, I have always been very curious about how the human body works, and that curiosity led me to attend Biological Sciences at college. By studying and understanding the biochemical, cellular, and molecular bases of human biological processes, I concluded that I was on the right path. Throughout my research career, I had the opportunity of participating in national and international events, communicate my findings in a second language, and establish collaborations that enabled me to work in a team environment with people from different backgrounds and cultures. I helped develop research projects covering multidisciplinary knowledge, such as cancer, inflammation, tumor immunology and microenvironment, and extracellular vesicles, resulting in fundraising for research and in a first-author publication in an international peer-reviewed journal sharing my findings in Oncology, achieved through teamwork. I also improved my written and oral communication skills to facilitate the message I intend to deliver, whether the recipients are specialists or laypeople.
