As an experienced Medical Advisor, I bring extensive expertise in clinical strategy, healthcare solutions, and medical oversight. With a proven track record of leading high-impact health initiatives, I have played a pivotal role in managing health surveillance during the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic, where I served as Head of Health Surveillance. In this capacity, I led successful containment efforts and directed medical teams as Director of the Public Health Center on Santa Cruz Island. I also pioneered the establishment of an Alternate Care Site on Isabela Island, providing essential intermediate care to patients during a critical time. This hands-on experience has honed my ability to restore medical services and manage healthcare delivery in resource-constrained environments. Previously, I held the position of Medical Director at the public hospital on Santa Cruz Island, overseeing clinical operations and ensuring the provision of high-quality healthcare services to the local community. Beyond clinical practice, I have made significant contributions to clinical research, with a particular focus on Neuropsychology and Mental Health. My work examines the impact of socioeconomic deprivation and post-traumatic stress disorder on cognitive function and development, particularly in vulnerable populations. Throughout my career, I have been honored with several accolades in recognition of my professional contributions, including: • Professional Merit Decoration from the Santa Cruz Emergency Operations Committee. • Order of Meritorious Service from the Fire Department of Isabela Island. • Professional Merit Decoration from the Municipality of Santa Cruz. • Honorary Endowment from the Insular Naval Air Squadron Command. • Professional Merit Award from the ECU-911 Integrated Security Service of Galápagos. Currently, I am the CEO & Founder of EcoSalud Galápagos, where I am spearheading initiatives to expand healthcare access and improve health outcomes for both residents and tourists in the Galápagos Islands.
