My career has been built around the development and application of patented technologies that enhance the performance, stability, and commercial value of skincare and cosmetic products. As an inventor and co-inventor on more than 25 patents, my work focuses on translating advanced scientific concepts into practical, scalable solutions that can be successfully brought to market. A significant portion of my innovation has centered on encapsulation and controlled-release systems, where active ingredients are engineered into micro- and nano-scale structures to improve efficacy, extend performance over time, and reduce unwanted absorption. These technologies have broad applications across cosmetics, OTC products, and adjacent industries, allowing brands to differentiate through measurable performance improvements rather than marketing alone. In parallel, I have developed novel emulsion systems and functional ingredient platforms designed to simplify formulation while improving stability, viscosity, and overall sensory profile. These include one-step emulsion technologies that streamline manufacturing and enable consistent, reproducible results at scale—an advantage for both emerging brands and established manufacturers looking to optimize production. My work in sunscreen and skin protection technologies has further demonstrated how innovation can directly impact product performance, including improvements in SPF efficiency, photostability, and skin feel, while reducing the total active load required. This approach reflects a broader focus throughout my career: creating formulations that are not only effective, but also cost-efficient, regulatory-aware, and commercially viable. Earlier in my career, I laid the foundation for this work through the development of sol-gel and polymer-based delivery systems, including advanced encapsulation methods and analytical techniques that continue to inform my approach today. Across all roles, my focus has remained consistent—identifying new technologies, developing intellectual property, and integrating those innovations into real-world products that reach the market. This combination of patent-driven innovation and hands-on formulation expertise allows me to help companies move beyond standard formulations and develop products with true technical differentiation. Whether supporting new product development or enhancing existing lines, my work is centered on creating solutions that deliver both scientific credibility and commercial impact.
