Presently, I am working as a Post-doctoral scientist to an understanding the biology of Wilms' tumor via advanced molecular approaches for identification of Copy number variations, SNPs, and expression of Oncogenes and Tumor Suppressor Genes involved in the progression of the tumor. Besides this, I am also involved in other projects running on our laboratory i.e., to find correlation between the transcriptome and genome profiling of different solid tumors samples basically; Oral tumors, brain tumors, Lung, Breast, and CML from North Indians through array-based technologies by Affymetrix, Next generation sequencing technology on PacBio, enzyme free technology on Nanostring, Mass array technology on Agena Biosciences and REAL TIME PCR. In my Ph.D. curriculum, I had worked on transcriptomic profiling of the Labeo rohita to understand the seasonal nature of breeding through next-generation sequencing technologies on Illumina platform. During my Ph.D and Postdoctoral training, I have worked on more than 100 libraries (WGS, WTS, amplicon) run on ion-torrent, MiSeq, and HiSeq Platform, (Sahu et al., PlosOne 2015, Sahu et al., Gene, 2013; Tripathy and Sahu et al., Gene, 2014 etc). With this Successfully run and analyzed the several CytoScan-HD, 750K, OncoScan, SNP array, Expression Array (HTA) and Axiom Biobank array on Affymetrix platform (Singh, and Sahu et al., Gene, 2016; Singh, and Sahu et al., Gene, 2015; Singh, and Sahu et al., Journal of Genetic Disorders & Genetic Reports, 2015 etc). Also involved in the transcriptomic analysis of Oral tumors and Medulloblastoma (Singh, and Sahu et al., MetaGene, 2016) and 16s Ribosomal Sequencing for Bacterial identification on PacBio RS II system.
