A UK-based doctoral researcher with over 17 years of experience of qualitative and mixed-method research for projects of any size for both organisations and individuals. I am currently a research associate for Symphony Talent, an Associate Researcher for the National Foundation for Education Research (NFER), and a Senior Research Associate for Clinigma. I apply extensive experience of qualitative and quantitative research and data analytics to projects of any size for both organisations and individuals, with a particular interest in health and wellbeing. I bring dedication, attention to detail and a passion for insights-led research on questions that matter. I can be flexible in helping with a variety of projects including the development of bespoke research materials, in-depth interviews and focus groups, data analysis and visualization. I have experience of mentoring and in leading project teams to complete projects to deadline from start to finish. Before starting my own research consultancy, I was a full-time employee at IES for three years from September 2015, and my research interests centre on the fields of health and wellbeing, and behavioural and organisational change. I have contributed to many large-scale evaluation projects such as evaluations for MIND of the Blue Light mental health programmes for emergency service personnel. Earlier I participated in an evaluation for the Social Care Institute for Excellence of the Carers’ Employment project, which focused on varied support models for carers in returning to employment. I was also involved in the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) in collaboration with Vitae, investigating the provision of mental health support for postgraduate researchers at multiple universities across the UK. I conducted in-depth interviews for several projects including the impact of the Growth and Innovation Fund and Employer Investment Fund for the UK Commission for Employment and Skills (UKCES), and the Health Foundation of the NHS Innovator Accelerator programme. I have contributed as a deputy project manager to: - Numerous literature reviews including for NHS Innovation on ‘Visioning’, for the MoD on mindfulness-based interventions for organisational change, and the Centre for Ageing Better on employer adaptations and support for the older workforce. - Development of fieldwork materials. - Data analysis and report writing. - Focus groups with diverse participant groups on sensitive subjects including mental health among emergency service personnel, police officers in training, trainee naval cadets in the armed forces, and cared-for individuals with dementia along with their carers. I am also proficient at proofreading and can provide tutorials on all aspects of academic work. I am also a qualified and fully-insured Hatha and vinyasa yoga teacher and find it helps to bring balance into all parts of my life. Please contact me to discuss your requirements.
