I am the founder of Energy Insights, currently providing independent technical review and analysis services for academic journal articles and conference papers in the energy sector. With 34 years of hands-on experimental and computational research experience at the U.S. Department of Energy’s National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL), where I retired on December 31, 2025, I offer detailed assessments of manuscripts related to thermodynamic systems, especially steady-state and dynamic process modeling of energy systems. I have been published in high-impact journals such as Applied Energy, Energy, and Journal of Energy Conversion and Management, among others (see Google Scholar: https://scholar.google.com/citations?hl=en&user=1FzohGMAAAAJ). I have also served as a peer reviewer for these and other journals and conferences. I was an ASME member and chaired numerous sessions for the ASME Turbo Expo (like Cycle Innovations). My expertise is grounded in natural gas combined cycles, supercritical CO₂ (sCO₂) power cycles (indirect- and direct-fired recompression Brayton cycles), dynamic modeling and simulation (Simulink, Aspen, Aspen Custom Modeler, Dynsim), solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) and hybrid systems, control strategies, techno-economic analysis, and process optimization. Includes: •  Opinion on whether it’s suitable for journal submission or better for a conference •  High-level strengths/weaknesses •  Recommendation on target journals/conferences (if requested) Price: $100 per paper 2.  Technical Review: Detailed technical feedback on methodology, results, and analysis. Includes specific comments and suggestions for improvement. Price: $350 to $450 per paper 3.  Technical + Writing Edit: Full technical review plus editing for clarity, flow, technical English, and structure. Includes rewriting of weak sections when needed. Price: $650 to $850 per paper 4.  Hourly Consulting: For ongoing support, multiple revisions, or response to reviewers.
