I am an epidemiologist and PhD in Health Sciences, specialized in Health Technology Assessment. I obtained a Bachelor and Master degree in Health Sciences from the Maastricht University, and a Master degree in Epidemiology and PhD in Health Sciences from the Free University, the Netherlands. The main topic of my dissertation was to assess the effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of radiofrequency denervation for patients with chronic low back pain. Currently, I work as a postdoctoral researcher for the Partnership for Work, Health, and Safety at the University of British Columbia. I am funded by The Canadian Institutes of Health Research Fellowship. My experience in the field of health sciences, epidemiology and health technology assessment allowed me to develop a strong understanding of advanced statistics and research methodology. Furthermore, I have experience in international and collaborative research.
