My research interests are focused on the physiology and genetics of marine invertebrates. I currently investigate the molecular basis of circadian and circa-annual phenomena in Antarctic krill (Euphausia superba), a key ecological species in the Southern Ocean. Previously, I investigated the genetic structure of the crustacean barnacle Chthamalus montagui within the Mediterranean basin. During my bachelor, I also worked using the Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM) studying the anatomy of the seeds of the Lunaria annua plant. I am skilled in experimental design, data analysis, scientific writing and oral presentation.
