I am a physicist with a PhD in bioinformatics, specializing in the application of machine learning and statistical techniques to understand protein-protein and protein-DNA interactions. The tools I have developed in my research are versatile and can be applied to a wide range of analytical tasks. Currently, I am focusing on utilizing data analysis algorithms to identify metabolite signals from NMR spectra that differ across multiple conditions, further expanding my work into the realm of metabolomics. Additionally, I use molecular dynamics simulations with GROMACS to study the structural and dynamic properties of biomolecules, providing deeper insights into their interactions. In the realm of machine learning, I leverage a variety of algorithms, including supervised and unsupervised learning techniques, to extract meaningful patterns from complex biological data. My work includes the application of decision trees, random forests, and XGBoost for classification and prediction tasks, as well as clustering algorithms for identifying hidden structures in datasets. If plenty of data is available, neural networks may be employed. By integrating these methods with domain-specific knowledge, I am able to deliver impactful insights that enhance our understanding of biological processes and inform experimental design.
