I am an Oceanographer (PhD in Chemical Oceanography, University of São Paulo) with solid experience in environmental contamination assessment, organic geochemistry, and chromatographic analysis of petroleum hydrocarbons and emerging pollutants. My background combines academic rigor with applied research, focusing on the identification, quantification, and source apportionment of organic contaminants in marine, coastal, and estuarine systems. Throughout my career, I have worked extensively with gas chromatography (GC-FID, GC-MS) and liquid chromatography (HPLC) for the analysis of aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons, sterols, pesticides, and other organic compounds. I have participated in major projects supported by FAPESP, Petrobras, and CNPq, including environmental monitoring and regional contamination assessments on the Brazilian continental margin. My work also encompasses oil weathering processes, quality control in analytical procedures, and data interpretation for environmental risk assessment. I have authored over 20 peer-reviewed scientific papers, including publications in Environmental Pollution, Science of the Total Environment, and Marine Pollution Bulletin, addressing petroleum contamination, organic matter dynamics, environmental forensics as well as environmental paleoreconstruction. My professional experience also includes consulting roles in projects involving the characterization of geochemical proxies in sediments, water, and biota, and the development of analytical and interpretative reports for the oil and gas sector.
