I am currently working as a researcher at the Helmholtz Institute for RNA-based Infection Research in Würzburg developing a new generation of programmable antibiotics. I currently use FACS and NGS to study the dynamics of bacterial communities for a precise manipulation of microbiota. Prior to joining Helmholtz Institute, I was working as a researcher in a biotech start-up in Heidelberg, Germany discovering small molecule from saliva bacterial excretes using metabolomics. I did my PhD at the Singapore biofilm center, where scientists from different disciplines including life sciences, engineering and natural sciences to understand, harness and control the power microbial biofilm communities for the betterment of mankind.
