Author of 20+ scientific publications including in top journals such as Nature Human Behavior, Perspectives on Psychological Science, The Journal of Experimental Psychology, and The Journal of Vision. My work has been featured by The Guardian, The Atlantic, The New Yorker, and more. Formerly a tenure-track professor, I have over a decade of formal experience in all stages of the research process. I now specialize in research consulting and founded Kotabe Labs, a decentralized and remote team of experts to tackle complex projects for organizations in industry and academia. Together, we both broaden and deepen the capacity of what we can accomplish together. We work on a diversity of projects in the human and social sciences and their applications in technology and business. I hold a dual Ph.D. and from UChicago and am an alumnus of Columbia University. I am a U.S. citizen and native English speaker. My hourly rate is 100 USD/hr. I offer 10% and 20% discounts on 10- and 20-hour flexible-use bookings, respectively.
