I have over 30 years of research experience in biodiversity, sustainable agriculture, biotechnology, and nutrition. My main interest lies in the value-adding biodiversity through frontier sciences such as Metabolomics and Nutrigenomics. I have since set an herbal in-situ conservatory, developed herbal products and fruit extracts with validated anti-diabetic, anti-atherosclerotic, anti-cholesterol, and anti-viral activities, filed four patents, licensed its technologies, and managed to register five trade secrets. In my research, I use multidisciplinary approaches (transcriptomics, metabolomics, chemoinformatics, pharmacokinetics, and in-vivo animal models) to gain a more holistic approach and better understand how dietary compounds alter our metabolism and affect various cellular pathways through gene regulation. To date, I am also actively involved in the following activities: • Editing and copywriting, including writing white documents on a wide variety of topics, involving nutrition, biodiversity, sustainable agriculture, biotechnology, and pharmaceutical sciences • Assessing biodiversity and promoting sustainable agriculture • Formulating herbal, nutraceutical, and personal care products • Securing and implementing high-impact projects to meet the needs and the challenges of the agriculture, food, and wellness industry.
