PhD-qualified bioinformatician with eight years of combined academic and commercial experience across NGS data analysis, variant calling, and pipeline development. Currently a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Glasgow, developing field-deployable molecular diagnostics, constructing nextflow-based pipelines for multiomic research and primer design for SNP genotyping. PhD completed at the University of Glasgow, producing multiple peer-reviewed publications, and a de novo long-read genome assembly and annotation of a non-model organism. Prior to academic research, worked as a bioinformatician, delivering production-grade variant interpretation and reporting pipelines for diagnostic use. Technical stack: Python, R, Bash, Perl, Nextflow, Docker, Git, HPC environments.
