I am a Shipping and Logistics professional with over 12 years of experience in freight forwarding, liner operations, NVOCC management, and integrated logistics across maritime, land, and air transport sectors. Building on this extensive industry background, I am currently engaged in advanced research on maritime decarbonization and the global energy transition, focusing on carbon-neutral shipping, alternative fuels, sustainable port development, and decarbonization frameworks. I am pursuing an MPhil in Business Economics at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka, where my research contributes to the growing discourse on sustainable transportation and energy systems. I have published in high-impact journals and am working toward securing a PhD scholarship specializing in the green transition within the transportation sector. My broader research interests include: Energy Systems & Sustainability: renewable energy, clean energy transitions, energy storage, cross-border electricity trade, regional energy integration, and energy security. Geopolitics & Geo-Economics of Energy: regional energy cooperation, strategic energy corridors in South Asia, energy diplomacy, global energy governance, and supply chain resilience. Maritime Sustainability & Decarbonization: maritime emissions reduction, green fuels, vessel efficiency, shore power, digital-enabled port operations, and sustainable logistics corridors. Digital Transformation & Innovation Policy: port and supply chain digitalization, AI, IoT, blockchain, smart logistics hubs, and innovation-driven green industrial policy. I am passionate about integrating alternative fuels, optimizing supply chains, and advancing innovative digital solutions to create greener, more efficient, and sustainable maritime and energy systems. My long-term goal is to contribute to the decarbonization of all transport modes, strengthen resilient logistics networks, and promote the integration of renewable energy and green technologies in transport infrastructure. Driven by a vision for sustainable and digitally enabled logistics and energy systems, I aim to combine technological innovation, regulatory insight, and socio-economic perspectives to support a low-carbon, resilient, and impactful global transport and energy ecosystem.
