John Robert C. Rilveria is a licensed psychologist with training and expertise in applied behavior analysis, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and schema therapy He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Behavioral Sciences, cum laude, at the University of the Philippines, Manila, and his Master of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology as well as his Doctor of Philosophy degree in Clinical Psychology minor in Personality Psychology at the University of the Philippines, Diliman. He is working as an assistant professor at the UP Diliman, Department of Psychology. In addition, he serves as part of the clinical research team of UPD Psychosocial Services (PsycServ). He is also affiliated with Childfam-Possibilities Psychosocial Services, working as a consultant and supervising a team of psychologists and counselors providing psychosocial support in the workplace. His research interests include the development of therapeutic alliance, client-therapist alliance as a psychotherapy tool, rupture and repair of therapeutic relationships, and supervisory alliance.
