I am dedicated freelance Earth Scientist currently involved in projects at both the University of Southampton, UK, and School of Biological Science at the Universiti Sains Malaysia. My current projects and general research interest centre on the investigation of sediments to reconstruct climate change, paleoseismicity and anthropocentric impacts using geochemical, physical and organic proxies. I have previously worked with both marine and lacustrine sediments at leading institutes using a range of techniques including: scanning electron/ optical microscopy, geochemical analysis (XRF, EDS), pollen and chironomids analysis, and radionuclide, stable isotope and tephra based chronology.
