The world is always evolving. We are constantly developing new ways to do more and solve more. In the process, though, we cannot sacrifice human and environmental health, especially for those solutions relating to sustainability challenges. My research involved sustainable remediation techniques of heavy metal contaminated wastewater. We can use innovative ideas to find simple, sustainable solutions for complex problems, and my goal as a scientist and engineer is to refine my critical problem solving skills and develop new, sustainable ways to approach and to solve traditional engineering challenges. I am looking for opportunities that allow me to utilize these skills to bridge the gap between innovative science in academics and small ventures and marketplace applications. I am interested in systems design and innovation - solving problems using a global perspective rather than a small-scale view. I welcome advice, suggestions, and opportunities.
