Jarrett is a highly skilled and experienced researcher with a strong background in social research, particularly focusing on vulnerable populations, human trafficking, and child exploitation in Southeast Asia. He has worked as a research consultant and coordinator for numerous international organizations, including ECPAT International, Terre des Hommes-Netherlands, Action Pour Les Enfants (APLE), Nexus Institute, and Love146. His research has primarily focused on the sexual exploitation of children, online child sexual exploitation, and the vulnerabilities of marginalized groups such as street children, male and transgender sex workers, and victims of human trafficking. Some of Jarrett's notable research projects include: 1. A multi-country study on the sexual exploitation of boys in Southeast Asia with ECPAT International and Interpol. 2. A national situational analysis on online child sexual exploitation in Cambodia with Action Pour Les Enfants (APLE). 3. Research on online commercial sexual exploitation of children in the Philippines with Terre des Hommes-Netherlands. 4. Numerous studies in a series on the vulnerabilities of street-involved children in Cambodia, Thailand, and the Philippines with Love146 and up! International. Jarrett has authored numerous peer-reviewed articles, reports, and conference presentations based on his research findings. He has presented his work at various international conferences, including the Asia-Pacific Regional Conference on Child Abuse and Neglect (APPCAN), the South-South Institute on Sexual Violence Against Men and Boys, and the International Anti-Trafficking Conference at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. In addition to his research work, Jarrett has experience in project management, training and capacity building, and providing expert consultation on research design, ethical considerations, and best practices for working with vulnerable populations. He has strong skills in grant writing, data analysis, and report writing, as well as a deep understanding of the regional context and cultural sensitivities in Southeast Asia. With his unique combination of academic expertise, practical research experience, and commitment to social impact, Jarrett is well-positioned to contribute to a wide range of projects related to human rights, child protection, and evidence-based interventions for vulnerable populations.
