I'm a 5th year Ph.D student studying bioinformatics at UCSD. I apply a combination of statistical and machine learning techniques on high throughput data to build predictive models for how the innate immune system behaves. By building these models, I hope to reveal insights underlying the mechanistic behavior of the innate immune system as well as well as the underlying causes of diseases (such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and cancer). Before starting my graduate studies, I was a software engineer at a Boston area startup building web-based automation tools for laboratory scientists.
