I am a research scientist with extensive experience spanning academic, medical, multidisciplinary and industry environments. My work has covered experimental research from molecular and cellular levels through to population and evolutionary genomics, using a range of model systems and approaches. Alongside hands-on experimental work, I have developed strong skills in designing experiments, analysing and interpreting complex datasets, and communicating scientific findings clearly and accurately. This includes producing peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations, detailed reports, and presenting complex information to both specialist and broader audiences. I have contributed to research across diverse areas including cardiovascular and renal disease models, evolutionary genomics, neurodevelopmental systems, metabolic disease, and ecotoxicology. Techniques used throughout my work include CRISPR-based gene editing, genomic analysis, embryo manipulation, cell culture, physiology, fish husbandry and advanced microscopy. I am now particularly interested in opportunities involving scientific writing, reporting, or data-focused roles where I can apply my experience in research, analysis, and clear communication of complex scientific information.
