I am an experimental psychologist with expertise in understanding how we perceive emotional facial expressions. I am a creative researcher and have developed a broad range of experimental paradigms that allow testing of diverse groups of individuals. In my research I have applied technologies such as eye tracking and EEG recording to better understand visual perception. My scientific training gives me the ability to look at situations, research and data from an analytical perspective and pull out trends and insights that others overlook. I have published several academic papers and I write for non-academic audiences as well. I enjoy translating scientific research to non-experts from one-on-one consultation to small group workshops or large seminar style presentations.
