I am currently a CMC project manager consultant partnering with small biotech companies to assist in virtual drug development. Prior to this, I worked at Baxter, in the early stages of developing a medical device/drug combination product where I lead small team of analytical chemists. In this role as the formulation team leader, we were tasked with determining the API concentrations in the drug that was both stable and compatible with containers and in use cases. Prior to this role, I worked on analytical method development with capillary electrophoresis, focusing on biologics at Abbott, in the Diagnostics Division. This work evaluated over 30 biologics for use in 23 separate immunoassays on the Alinity and Architect Machines.

Before making the jump to industry, I spent 8 years as a post-doc in academia, first at Dartmouth Medical School and then later at Northwestern University. The unifying theme of my research here was the physiological impact of steroid hormones in the mammalian brain. I was interested in how these hormones influenced neuropeptide expression and activity in reproductive and anxiety-related brain circuits that ultimately controlled behavior (Dartmouth Medical School), and how these effects were similar or different between sexes (Northwestern University).
