I am a materials scientist. I earned my masters and doctorate degree in materials science and engineering from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India. My PhD dissertation is on Process-Structure-Property (PSP) relations in thermoelectric materials. After graduation, I pursued my postdoctoral research at The Pennsylvania State University, USA where I studied corrosion behaviour of steel subjected to various conditions. I have worked in various industries, as a senior scientist, including aerospace and pharmaceuticals for more than 5 years. My academic background and industrial experience provided me opportunities to delve into different types of materials including hard (inorganic), soft (organic), and combination of both. This diversity of materials has enabled me to explore their structural and functional properties extensively. I am well-versed in advanced materials characterisation techniques such as X-ray diffraction, electron microscopy (Scanning and Transmission Electron microscopy (SEM, TEM), Electron dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX), Optical microscopy, Confocal Laser Scanning microscopy, particle size analysis by laser diffraction.   Moreover, I have substantial writing experience which includes, thesis, manuscripts, analytical reports ( for project sponsors: Siemens and Electric Power Research Institute,USA during my postdoctoral stint), regulatory reports (in-vitro characterisation of pharmaceutical drug substances and drug products) for US FDA submissions. Besides, I have reviewed several manuscripts submitted to various international peer reviewed journals.  I am currently focussed on application of machine learning and neural networks in materials science.
